MEASURING UP FOR DELIVERY

When buying large items of furniture, it is most important to make sure it will fit through the property access and into the intended space in your room. Make sure there is enough height, width and diagonal depth to accommodate your furniture’s entry and that there’s plenty of room to manoeuvre around corners and through doors.

If the packages are too large to pass through your staircase or entryway, one important tip is to open the products downstairs and then take the open products up in parts. Like you can remove the seats, cushions and detachable legs to make the product lighter. These can be easily assembled in your living room or the final room where the product will be placed.

MEASURE THE SPACE WHERE THE FURNITURE WILL SIT.

Check that the furniture will fit the space in the room where it will sit. The dimensions of each piece of furniture can be found on our website and the product pages. If you need any additional dimensions, please feel free to contact us or email us.
Furniture can appear smaller in the online store than it actually is. The furniture will appear a lot bigger in your room. The easiest way to check the amount of floor space a piece of furniture will take up is by marking the area out on the floor where the furniture will sit. This can be done by either using masking tape or a newspaper template.

KNOW OUR PACKAGING

As much as we love our products and how carefully they are handled and handcrafted in our factories, it is utmost important for us to secure these products while in transit for the safety of the goods, considering unpredictable and multiple handling at times may damage these goods. We secure most of the goods with multilayer packaging involving Plastic wraps, Bubble sheet, Foam sheets, Foam Corners all packed in a Heavy gauge Corrugated boxes. To further secure these, we sometimes pack them with the wooden crates in some cases if required. We understand that these wooden crates make the packaging bulky, however they are absolutely necessary for securing the product during their transit and are unavoidable. In fact, we spend a huge amount of money making these crates in order to secure the products.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the Delivery Personnel are not obliged or authorised to open/ assemble the furniture or packages. Please note that their duty is to deliver the goods to the customer and they are not directly employed with The Brown Curves and work with the Third Party Logistics companies. You are requested to cooperate with them and not force them to open the crates, packages etc.

ASSEMBLY OF FURNITURE

Most of our furniture will not require any assembly or may require very minimal Do IT Yourself (DIY) assembly like screwing the round legs to the base of the sofa or attaching the legs of the coffee tables. Sometimes, the Back legs have a plate mechanism where the screws can be fixed with an allen key (provided in the kit with the instructions). Sometimes, if there are any nuts/ bolts or Allen key screws used, they are provided with the required spanner or allen key to help you with the installation. We currently do not provide assembly service. However detailed assembly instructions if any required are inserted in the package and the goods can easily be assembled by yourself or with the help of a local carpenter.

IF YOU ARE NOT HOME AND THE PACKAGE ARRIVES

Typically, you will get a call from the Courier Company/ Logistics partner confirming the tentative date and the time of delivery. However, as we do not have any direct control over the courier partners/ logistics partner, we cannot guarantee that they will act only in certain manner or will necessarily call before getting your order for delivery. We also request you to give correct address and phone no. details at the time of placing the order. If you are planning to travel and you will be unavailable on the contact number given earlier, please make sure you arrange for an alternate receiver on the address given. Once the consignment is dispatched, address cannot be changed. Goods will need to be signed for upon delivery. If you cannot be there to sign for your delivery please suggest an alternative i.e. a family member, colleague, neighbor, etc. Team TBC takes no responsibility for goods signed by an alternative person. Refusal to accept the delivery by receiver will not put TBC to any liability towards any refunds or re-arrangement of delivery.

INFORMATION ABOUT HIGHER FLOORS

The delivery person will deliver the large goods to your building premises or wherever it is physically possible to deliver the goods for them. For higher floors, they may not be equipped to deliver the goods to your door step. You are requested to arrange for your own labourers/ manpower in advance or post delivery to get the big products to the higher floor. The responsibility of our logistics partners to deliver the large products is restricted to the ground floor or maximum first floor of the building. As of now we do not have resources and personnel to deliver the large furniture to your floor. We will need your cooperation to arrange your own personnel/ labourers to carry the furniture to the floor of your residence.

POST DISPATCH

Once the product is dispatched, no cancellations will be entertained. Even if the product in transit gets delayed, Team TBC holds no responsibility to cancel the order and issue refunds.

Team TBC will not responsible for damage after delivery.

All claims for shortages or damages must be reported to customer service on the day of delivery. No complain with regard to damages/shortages will be entertained post 24 hours of receipt of product.

Please note, in case of refund due to damage of the product, packing and shipping charges won’t be refunded. Additionally, The cost incurred to send us the product back will be borne by the buyer.

We try our best to develop pieces in the dimensions stated. But since its hand craft work, we request you to keep an open mind and accept our slight deviations from dimensions stated.

In case you wish to send us product back for change in polish/finish color or for alteration of dimensions etc, shipping and packing cost of to and fro will be borne by the buyer. 

Tracking number will be generated post complete transfer of money is done. Please understand, We have a third party tie up for safely transfer of goods. The company generates docket sheet post we submit the invoice to them. And for invoice to gets generate, our accounts team needs a complete transfer of funds.
